Best Pizza in Rocky Point Mexico

On my most recent trip to Rocky Point (Puerto Pensaco) Mexico, I had the pleasure of eating what is most certainly the best pizza in Rocky Point Mexico. Where did I get said pizza? I got this amazing pie at a little restaurant called Max’s Café. Don’t let the name fool you, although it may sound like it is a diner, there is not even a close resemblance to your local Denny’s.

The Pizza:

We ordered a large Pepperoni and Pineapple pizza. Everything about it was perfect. The amount of cheese and sauce were proportionate and even disbursed. The gave a generous portion of both the pepperoni and pineapple, there is nothing worse than a pizza with skimpy toppings. This pizza was cooked just the right amount, not too doughy and not to crispy.

The Staff:

The people that run this great little restaurant are phenomenal. You can tell from the moment that you walk in that this crew is a hard working one. They are very attentive and quick to take care of any little thing that you may need. If Spanish is not your strong point, this is a great place to go. The entire staff speaks fluent English, so good that I wonder if some of them haven’t spoke it since birth. The proprietor of this establishment and its namesake Max works almost every day at his restaurant, greeting the customers and working alongside his employees.

The Environment:

Max’s has a pretty decent ambiance to it. The best part is the outdoor area. There is a great gas-fired fire pit that is great. My recommendation is to visit at night when this fire pit is on, there are tables outside neat that fire area that you can sit on. The inside is comfortable but not fancy. The second best part is that the bathrooms are kept clean to American standards. All in all this is a great little place that I think has the best pizza in Rocky Point Mexico.
